Super Mercato

When we bought it, the store was losing money. The product was there, but the business had no real visibility on where the money was going and no consistent way of running day to day.

We also had a point to prove. We tell clients that marketing, tech, operations and finance have to work together. Super Mercato is where we put our own money behind that.

We gave the store a sharp motif, a Mediterranean superfoods grocer, and let it shape the range: produce, panini, juices and coffee people actually talk about.

In store, our tech guides the team through opening, closing and handover checklists, so standards hold from shift to shift. Sales and costs are tracked inside the same stack, so the team can see exactly where they sit against budget.

On marketing, we lean on demand the shop earns: content creators who genuinely like the place, PR through Bennett PR that has landed coverage on Nine.com.au, and paid social built around that creator content. We review it all in weekly marketing, tech and store WIPs.

The store has gone from losing money to a clear path to $1M in profit, and a second store is on the way in a premium location. Everything we learn running it goes straight back into the work we do for clients.
